Jerome C. Scowcroft decided to pursue a legal career because of the community involvement aspect. He grew up in an intellectual environment, and was always gifted in both language and math. For the past 15 years, Mr. Scowcroft has been with Roosevelt Law Center, a law firm offering a variety of services including business and commercial law, elder law, estates and trusts, probates and maritime legal services. He is currently in charge of managing the firm, and attributes his success to high-quality work, having a good mind and relating well to people.

He began his career after earning a JD from Duke Law in 1978. With more than two decades of law experience already under his belt, Mr. Scowcroft went back to school, earning a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Washington in 2001. He is currently affiliated with the Maritime Law Association, African Chamber of Commerce in Washington and Financial Services Coalition, and in 2014, he was named an AV Preeminent Attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s peer review rankings. In the coming years, Mr. Scowcroft plans to pursue his photography hobby and possibly teach.
