Mr. Bertz has 50 years of experience as a partner of Anderson O’Brien Law Firm, where he primarily practices in the area of personal injury. He attributes his success to his hard work. He became involved in his profession because he developed an interest in law at an early age. Mr. Bertz received a degree from the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota. He continued at Marquette University to earn a JD in 1962. While at Marquette University, he supplied his talents as the assistant editor of the Marquette Law Review. To continue expanding his experience, Mr. Bertz was selected as a law clerk to Chief Justice Timothy Brown of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Mr. Bertz maintains affiliation with the American Bar Association, The Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington and the State Bar of Wisconsin. In recognition of his professionalism and dedication, he was named as an AV Preeminent Attorney, and one of the Top Attorneys in Wisconsin. Mr. Bertz has formerly served as the past president of the Portage County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association of Worker’s Compensation.

While at Anderson O’Brien Law Firm, Mr. Bertz tried over 100 civil trials throughout his career. He primarily practiced in the areas of law pertaining to litigation, personal injury, insurance defense, worker’s compensation and products liability. In the next five years, Mr. Bertz plans to continue to serve his clients. He remains active at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, serving on the Chancellor’s Advisory Council and as the chair of the William C. Hansen Award Committee. Additionally, he is president of the Backcourt Club, the Coach’s Club and the Stevens Point Rotary Club.
