Mr. Bolon has stepped into the trial courts of Illinois hundreds of times to handle cases on both state and federal levels.  In addition to supplying his legal services at these courts, he drafts legislation and court rules and publishes numerous legal articles.  Furthermore, he prosecutes major crimes in their felony trial division. With three decades of experience in law, Mr. Bolon has also branched out to teaching appellate advocacy and lectures on trial matters. He bases his success on his legal ability and ethical standards.

Mr. Bolon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, and a JD from the John Marshall Law School. After graduating, he spent eight years in the Cook County Attorney’s Office, with four of those years prosecuting major crimes in the felony trial division. He became a trial division supervisor and chief of the Criminal Appeals Division. With the Chicago Bar Association, he has chaired the Civil Practice and Continuing Legal Education committees.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bolon has been honored as a Super Lawyer in Family Law from Chicago Magazine, a peer-reviewed attorney rating service from Thomson Reuters, and one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers from the National Trial Lawyers. In addition, throughout his career he has had the highest possible peer review rating in legal ability from Martindale-Hubbell.
