Mr. Johnson entered the legal industry 30 years ago after taking the LSATs and working for a law firm while he was in law school. It was a litigation practice and he continued in that litigation practice until he eventually gravitated towards general defense practice. Within a year or two, he transitioned to a workers’ compensation practice, and has been practicing in the area since. In his role, Mr. Johnson provides defense services to self-insured and insured employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation in the state of Minnesota. Mr. Johnson has received ample recognition for his work, and was named Lawyer of the Year in Minneapolis Workers’ Compensation Law in 2015. He is also an AV Preeminent Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell and was named a Super Lawyer.

Aside from his work at the firm, Mr. Johnson stays active in the legal community. He is a co-author of the original Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Deskbook. Additionally, Mr. Johnson has given multiple presentations for the Minnesota Workers’ Compensation Symposium. He attributes his success to working hard, and most importantly, being accessible to clients. Looking toward the future, Mr. Johnson will hopefully continue to do what he’s established going forward, and continue to maintain client trust.
