VERNAL, UT, February 18, 2015, Cindy Barton, Guardian ad Litem for The Eighth District Juvenile Court, has been recognized by Elite American Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in litigation.
Ms. Barton routinely advocates for children and advises the court on the behalf of children, and after having spent more than 26 years in her field, she continues to strive for excellence in her every endeavor. Ms. Barton has made a name for herself as someone who truly cares about each and everyone with whom she has had the pleasure of working, and for always extending a hand to help them; the older she grows, the more people she helps. She also credits her parents, who taught her the value of hard work.
Ms. Barton was inspired to pursue a career in law by her sheer, innate enjoyment of speaking in front of people; as a student, she was always involved in debate and drama clubs. She wanted to help people and saw working as a lawyer as an extension of that. In 2007, Ms. Barton won an historic appeal of U.S. v. Hardman at the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. She was an associate with Las Vegas law firm Bell and Young from 1990 to 1994.
