Karen Lynn Valihura is a corporate litigation partner with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP.  She is resident in the Delaware office of Skadden Arps and her practice focuses on corporate, securities and complex commercial litigation. She has been the lead trial counsel in various cases in both state and federal courts.  Among other matters, she has handled cases concerning the fiduciary duties of directors and officers of corporations, shareholder derivative cases as well as complex commercial matters and class actions. She has been recognized in the prestigious Chambers USA list since 2008, and listed among Americas Leading Lawyers for Business. Additionally, Ms. Valihura has been named among the Best Lawyers in America. She attributes her success to her hard work and discipline. She is a former president of the Delaware Bar Foundation, an organization with which she currently maintains affiliation as a member, and she is the Chair of the Board on Professional Responsibility, an Arm of the Delaware Supreme Court.
